We are delighted to announce that our company name will be changing effective October 1, 2017 from Ferro Magnetics Corp to Charging Technologies Inc.
A lot has changed in the world of industrial battery charging since Ferro Magnetics was established in St. Louis, Missouri in 1974. Our new name, Charging Technologies Inc, better reflects the strengths and focus of our core business: developing and manufacturing state of the art charging systems for industrial applications worldwide.
There has been no change in management and we will be providing the same products and fine service on which we have built our reputation in the industry.

June 1, 2015 This month we will be releasing the Ferro Magnetics Power Logger. Built on the Tobi PI Wi-Z software platform, the Power Logger is a portable device that installs between the truck and battery and the battery & charger to capture and record amp- hour thru-put along with available charge times in real time to assist the user in identifying the proper charger required for the application and to help qualify the end user for potential opportunity charging. The Power Logger utilizes the newly updated Tobi PI-Wi-z Software Suite for generating reports.

CEC Listing: Ferro Magnetics received approval to sell our High Frequency charger line in states that have adopted the California Energy Commission (CEC) energy designation. Our SHF, OHF and multi circuit high frequency chargers are all listed and will receive the BC designation.
Our High Frequency charger line has just been expanded to include Multi-Volt charging capability. Now you can use just one Ferro Magnetics High Frequency Multi-Volt HF charger to charge up to three DC voltages. Available sizes are 48/36/24 volt in 75, 150, 225 and 300 DC max amp out and 36/24 in 100, 200, 300 & 350 Max DC amp out. All carry the UL and ULc listing. Call for additional information.

We are very excited to announce that we are now able to offer our high frequency chargers in a muti-circuit (gang) configuration. 2, 4 & 6 circuits in one cabinet utilizing just one AC line drop. All circuits can be used simultaneously to charge mutiple batteries/trucks. The multi-circuit gang units will carry the UL /Ulc label and are available in 480/3/60 or 600/3/60 AC power supply.
We are very pleased to introduce our newest ferro resonant charger - the V series. Ferro resonant charger transformers routinely last over 15 years! This charger line was developed specifically to compete with the imported, linear flux controlled transformer chargers coming in from Europe. The V series is a true ferroresonant transformer charger which brings with it all of the the safety features that are inherent in that design including failsafe operation. In the event of a component failure, the charger will fail to either a low output, or no output mode. With the use of condensing cores and magnetic shunts, the V series transformers will control output to the battery to within 1% even with an AC line variance of +6/-10% while on charge. The V series ( Value) has an efficiency rating of 87% and a power factor of 92%. This is better than some of the high frequency chargers we have seen in the field today! These are BCI rated 100% chargers offered in an 8 hr VX or a 10 hr VH design. All AC voltages are available including the popular B code which offers selectable voltage between 208/240/480 giving you the greatest flexibilty.
